OFFICE OF SURFACE MINING RECLAMATION AND ENFORCEMENT

freedom of information act (foia)

The Freedom of Information Act assures that records in the possession of federal agencies are accessible to the public. Our responsibility is to provide you with copies of records you are entitled to receive under the law. It gives you access to any of the Office of Surface Mining's records unless they are protected by exemptions. Many documents are available on our website in the Electronic Reading Room or at the Administration Record Office. If you cannot find the information that you are seeking through these sources, send a written FOIA request by printing and completing this form. We are available to assist you with your request. Select this link to view FOIA Contacts.

For information about the Freedom of Information Act, please contact Dawn Boswell, FOIA Officer at 202-208-2961.
