OSM FACT SHEET U.S. Department of the Interior Office of Surface Mining January 21, 1999 OSM AWARDS HOPI TRIBE $50, 000 GRANT FOR ABANDONED MINE LANDS PROGRAM The Interior Department's Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement (OSM) is providing the Hopi Tribe with a $50, 000 grant to assist in developing coal mining rules and regulations in support of a permanent regulatory program for tribal lands in Arizona.
