This is the Office of Surface Mining's library of COALEX Research Reports. TOPIC: CASE INQUIRY

INQUIRY: Recently, in U.S. Law Week was a reference to a U.S. Court of Appeals case, VIRGINIA
DEPARTMENT OF CONSERVATION v CLARK, No. 84-205 (November 6, 1984). Request
information on the case and relevant lower court case decisions.

SEARCH RESULT: On November 54, 1984, the Supreme Court granted writs of certiorari for the
Virginia case.  Copies of the Court of Appeals decision and lower court decisions are enclosed.
